Assistant Nursing

The certified Nursing assistant cannot take the frustration of many Medical facility environments. The work schedule is more hectic and they cannot deal with the issues among the staff. They need more pay for the work and are almost always not appreciated.

The Nursing assistants who are not happy with the hospital or medical facility environment, has a chance to serve the patients at home which is known as Home Health care. The Nursing assistant can get to know the patient and their family better on the personal level in their environments. Home care is basic assistance to those patients who need comfort of their own home. Here the Nursing assistant has the same role of bathing, feeding and dressing the patients.

The home health agency helps the Nursing assistant to get the employment. These agencies contract the patient or their families and offer their services so that they can remain in the comfort of their own home and can be assisted by the Nursing assistant.

Here the Nursing Assistants will need to perform extra duties like paying the bills, running errands, getting the medications and taking the patient to the medical facility for their appointments with the doctor. In addition to that they may have to perform some housekeeping and cooking too.

Nursing assistants like to work on home health care as it helps them to develop a schedule that is suitable to them and they can get familiar with the patient. Most of the time, the Nursing assistant can make their own schedule. The same can be reviewed by the supervisor and approved by the patient. The schedule which is suitable to all will be developed and there are chances that the Nursing assistant can take off during the holidays or some other events.

In the medical facility there are less chances of getting to know the patient personally. Even if the Nursing assistant works in a long term care facility he/she will have very less time with the patient as they have other duties to perform. Whereas in the home health care You can get to know the patient and their likes and dislikes which can be enjoyable for some Nursing assistants.

The Nursing assistant at home are very much on their own, therefore the background check is more severe than the one at the medical facility. This is for the protection of the patient as he/she at the full mercy of the Nursing assistant.

The Nursing assistant needs good references for their past work and the employers contact numbers. The home health care Nursing assistants should be organized, motivated and should be able to work without supervision. The supervisor will keep an eye on you and see how often you take off work and the promptness you show to the patient.

The reason being the health care agencies do not have many nursing assistants to cover the patients in case you take leave or reach late for your duty. This could lead to the termination of contract for the agency by the patient.

The Nursing assistant earns more in a health care agency and they are likely to get more respect from the patient and their family. The Nursing assistants also like to keep their employees happy and the patient do not like their companion to change continuously. Here the Home care agency needs to balance and they want their employees and the customers namely patients happy.

If you are the person who is willing to work with the health care agency, research them with the proper boards and medical facilities. You do not want to get into the position where the proper procedure is not followed and the care of the patient suffers due to this.
